The purpose of this site is to bring together all ex members
of the ships company, for those who wish to keep in touch
with old friends and to keep the memory of a great ship
alive. You'll find links on each page to help you navigate
the site and find out all about HMS Danae and many of her
crew who have supplied hundreds of photographs many of which
are back up with stories and events

The Ship was a Leander Class Frigate
and like the rest of the class, named after a figure of
mythology, commissioned in 1967 she served 24 years in the
fleet of the Royal Navy, decommissioned in 1991 she was sold
to Ecuador and was renamed Morán
Valverde.
