Just been looking through the guest book and remember some old names. Dane Eastham, Tony Roberts, Barny, some other names I remember are Kev Sawdon, Ged Crummey, Mac Macelroy, Buddy Holly, Mark Elphick had some great times on the Danae from 1987 - 1990.

cook up until '89 when left to get married, many a good time had in 3ezzz mess and not forgeting my leaving party that contained maskers, cheesecake and a black bucket???the heads were quite a walk??

joined the danae 1986 to 1989 had 3 fantastic years still bore my mates 2 deth with the tales i have..

served on the old girl ck(c) Falklands 1990 tour and up to the end when she was flogged of , a great ship and happy memories quite a few of them blurred

I joined Danae in 1989 until 1991 for her final commission, I was Ship's Flight but spent most of the time in the Buffers Store drinking wobbly coffees!

Served on this fine lady from 85 - 88 some of the best times and mates i had in my time in the mob.

found this site yesterday, Good isnt it !!...
I joined the Danae as she prepared for the south atlantic in 82 and did both journeys south on her ( 82/83 ). I was a killick stoker evap watchkeeping on both tours.
I cannot believe i have just seen pics of some of my old oppos on your site,... jock semple was a right case !! ( ha ha ).

Great site, and thank you to the web master. My father served on the earlier Danae, I do not know the nature of his duties as he was reticent on giving us his details. He loved the sea and would have served longer but for eye sight problems that forced his early retirement. Please contact me if you have ANY information on that earlier ship.
